SPRING COWL-NECK TOPS

April 12, 2012 , , , , , ,

It’s Spring.   And unless I get on the floor and do 60 sit-ups every night (more likely I’ll grow an eleventh toe), I’m ditching my tight t-shirts and ushering in the era of blousy-but-beautiful shirts.  I can wear them with jeans, a suit, shorts or a skirt.  And I don’t have to suck in my waist all the time.

The “Draped Cowl-Neck” neckline is perfect   Draping is feminine, the v-dip is sexy, and the thicker-shoulder & close-to-underarm cuts on the sleeveless versions are attractive for (most) figures.  Silks are luxurious but the cotton & viscose/lyrca blends are comfortable & washer-friendly.  They emphasize your chest without looking tight and Kardashian.  The sleeveless work great under cardigans & blazers (in the winter).   As you can see, I’ve given these a lot of thought.  I’ve also bought them all.
